Bukit Bendera

Penang Hill

Selalu je pergi Pulau Pinang. Aktiviti rutin tak lupa. Memancing. Selalunya tak dapat ikan. Cuti Tahun Baru Cina ni ada ong pulak. Dapat seekor, gelama. Oke la tuh.  Pakcik sorang tu je yg suka benor memancing, kami tunggu tepi pantai sambil makan rojak Padeeeeeen~.

Saya suka rojak / pasembor !

Port Pancing

Kali ni jugak lah berjaya ke Bukit Bendera. Akhirnya... Dengan penuh kesabaran menempuh segala kesesakan lalulintas. Memang dah pernah pergi sebelum ni, tapi zaman kecik-kecik dulu.

Tren dulu-dulu

Tiket nak naik ke Bukit Bendera - RM 8. Kalau tunjuk kad pesara dapat lah separuh harga. Kena pandai pilih hari. Kalau ramai sangat pun tak syok. Beratur panjang. Tak dapat nak menikmati pemandangan dengan sepenuhnya. Bukannya besar sangat kawasan kat atas tu. Agak dingin juga, al-maklum 720m atas paras laut. Lebih kurang lah.

Ada persembahan ular dan taman periuk kera. Promosi pada kain rentang tulis – Monkey cup aka pitcher plant aka periuk kera. Tiket masuk taman tu – RM 5. Baru sahaja dibuka. Persembahan ular percuma je, kalau ambil gambar dengan ular baru dikenakan bayaran. Untung pergi sekarang. Baru diubah suai, jadi nya masih cantik dan terjaga. Bunga masih segar bugar.

Monkey Cup
Macam-macam bentuk ada

Ada restoran dgn nama omputih (tak pasti status halal nya, sekarang ni kena sangat berhati-hati bab makan luar – semak betul-betul status dan logo halal) , hotel dan rumah persendirian. Ada buggie ride, tak pasti nama sebenar tapi rupa macam kereta golf. Sewa dalam RM 30 sebuah. Bergantung pada saiz juga kut. Ada yg dua, ada yg lebih.

Pusing-pusing kejap je. Beli kacang rebus, lepas tu balik.

Ramai orang - Nasib baik tren ada aircond

Jumpa arca ni on the way balik . Menarik.

S.W.E.E.T tooth

S W e e T o o T H

I’m not a sweet tooth person. But when I stressed out, I crave for sweet foods. Chocolate…cake…if none of those available, a packet of lychee drink pun oke (this is the case when I’m stress during office hour as there is no convenient or mini mart within my office).

Now, everyone is talking about cupcakes and macaroons. Most of them, I’m sure. I have my first macaroon on a friend’s wedding, recently (bukannya tak mampu nak beli tapi takde perasaan nak makan, takut manis sangat…tapi kalau dah free tu, amik je la kan~). There was a sweet corner, full with cakes, cupcakes, chocolate fountain, jelly beans and macaroons. Cute. Not so sweet. Yummy. Suit my taste bud very well.

When I went back to Melaka for Chinese New Year holiday, my cousin baked a chocolate cake in a cup – consider cupcake la ek, but without the heavy topping. There is something in the way she worked; looked as if baking is simple. Just throw everything in a bowl and mix. Didn’t take long too. Besides, she’s good in art. Very good. She can draw henna on hand in a blink of an eye - many in Masjid Jamek offer such henna art but not as magnificent and delicate as hers. So, decorating a cake sure is easy!

The recipe

- I'm looking forward to try the recipe -

Mini Highland - Part 2

Zaman kegemilangan tomato dah tamat. Tapi dalam banyak-banyak yg ditanam, selain tomato, prestasi petola juga tak boleh dilupakan. Ingat dah mati, rupa-rupanya ada lagi. Mungkin sebab jenis menjalar. Petola ni suka pilih ceruk yg tinggi pula tuu..

Kangkung tak payah cerita, memang ada je. Anggur? Sampai la ni belum nampak hasil. Putik pun macam hidup segan mati tak mau. Ntah dapat rasa, ntah idok.

Mini kebun - generasi kedua. Sekarang ayah…dan mak tanam sayur pak choy. Comel sayur ni. Tapi sawi tetap sawi. Saya kurang gemar – pahit.

Makan-makan

Previously during my headquarter's days, Friday has always been my Jalan-jalan Cari Makan session - lunchtime. My favorite day of the week too ! I really enjoy the session. Together with my colleagues, we ought to choose places we are going for lunch, usually the place that we have never tasted before or the one that others have recommended for.

I do hope this makan-makan continues, either with my ex-colleagues or with my new colleagues. We can taste and comment each other's orders..and for girls, gossipping time of course :P .

My latest makan-makan was at Madam's Lim but unfortunately the menus don't suit me well (maybe i'm not just in the mood that day..huhu). I ordered Ribena Longan, turns out to be a surprisingly dark purplish colour drink (tasted more like grape rather than ribena)with longan. I only finished the longan.

However, my lunchtime at Hainan's Tea on the previous week was quite refreshing. Simple and comfy. Oke laa. Would love to taste the sandwiches, look delicious - next time eh.

Mahalabia..

T . A . R . B . U . S . H

I've heard a few positive comments on Arab's food before. I'm looking forward to taste some, besides 'Nasi Mandy' as I'm quite familiar with that already. Recently, I went to Tarbush, which serves Lebanese dish, not Arab though. But oke jer. Still Middle East, kan..huhu :P

One main course, one kebab and one dessert (Mahalabia).

(erm..biasa-biasa aje, sorry)
